Conservation Northwest for our
2010 hiking and events schedule

"Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean." – John Muir

Jungle Hill Day Hike: Saturday, September 25th
This beautiful, five-mile hike is rated 4 out of 5 in difficulty because of a somewhat steep ascent that begins near a flowing stream. We'll wind leisurely upward through the forest canopy and feast on panoramic views of the Kettle Crest, and reward ourselves with generously donated cold beer back at the trailhead.

Columbia Mountain Lookout Day Hike: Saturday, October 9th
The trail leads through high-country meadows with sweeping views of the Sherman Creek Valley and beyond, and up to the 6,780-foot summit with its recently restored fire lookout cabin. This eight-mile hike is rated a moderate 3 out of 5 in difficulty.
